Apara Ekadashi

Falls on the dark eleventh of Jyeshtha. 'Apara' means boundless — according to the Puranas, observing this vrata yields merit equal to the Ashwamedha and Rajasuya yajnas. It is also described as especially efficacious as atonement for grave sins such as Brahmin-killing, giving false testimony, and drinking liquor.
