Kamada Ekadashi

Falls on the bright eleventh of Chaitra. According to the Puranas, the Gandharva Pushpaduta had been cursed by Brahma into becoming a rakshasa, and following goddess Parvati's advice he regained his form and the Gandharva realm by observing this vrata — hence 'Kamada' (granting all desires). The vrata is described as guiding one to be mindful of the fruits of good and evil deeds.
