Kamika Ekadashi

Falls on the dark eleventh of Shravana. Regarded as one of Vishnu's most beloved Ekadashis — the Puranas hold that one who observes this vrata gains merit equal to performing the shraddha and tarpana rites for one's departed ancestors. The vrata is believed to be especially efficacious in freeing one from the torments of hell and clearing the debt owed to one's ancestors.
