Parama Ekadashi

Falls on the dark eleventh of the extra (Purushottama/Adhik) Jyeshtha month — occurring once every three years. 'Parama' means supreme; the Puranas describe this vrata as the essence of all Ekadashis, freeing one from poverty, misfortune, the grief of bereavement, and great sins. Falling in the Purushottama month, it is regarded as especially glorious.
