Shravana Putrada Ekadashi

Falls on the bright eleventh of Shravana. 'Putrada' means bestower of sons — according to the Puranas, couples without children who observe this vrata are blessed with sons. It is described that on this Ekadashi Vishnu appears before devotees mounted on his Garuda, and worship is prescribed offering him seated upon Garuda.
