Vijaya Ekadashi

Falls on the dark eleventh of Phalguna. According to the Ramayana, Vibhishana told Lord Rama about this vrata during their exile, and by observing it Rama won the final victory over Ravana in Lanka — hence the name 'Vijaya'. Observing this vrata with restraint and devotion is believed to destroy enemies and remove sorrows.
