Celebrated on the full moon of the bright fortnight of Chaitra as the birth anniversary of Hanuman (the Purnima tithi begins at sunrise on April 20). Devotees visit Hanuman temples at sunrise to recite the Hanuman Chalisa and offer special worship — Hanuman is believed to have been born at the moment of sunrise.
