Jagaddhatri Puja

The worship of goddess Jagaddhatri is held on the bright ninth of Kartik, a serene form of Durga. Celebrated about a week after Kali Puja, this festival is observed with particular grandeur in Chandannagar and Krishnanagar (Nadia). History records that this puja's tradition began in the 18th century under Raja Krishnachandra Ray of Nadia.
