Shiva Panchakshari Mantra

ওঁ নমঃ শিবায়

One of the oldest and most widely chanted mantras of Shiva, known as the 'Panchakshari Mantra' because it consists of five syllables (Na-Ma-Shi-Va-Ya). It means 'salutations to Shiva' — it is customarily chanted during Maha Shivaratri and regular Shiva worship.
