Jaya Ekadashi

Falls on the bright eleventh of Magha. According to the Puranas, the apsaras of heaven, who had been cursed in error, regained their freedom and the heavenly realm by observing this vrata — hence the name 'Jaya'. Observing it is believed to free one from ill-repute, bad dreams, and inauspicious results.
