Parivartini Ekadashi

Falls on the bright eleventh of Bhadrapada, also known as the 'Parsva Parivartini' Ekadashi — it is believed that Vishnu turns on his side in yoga-nidra on this day. In the Sanatana tradition this Ekadashi is also renowned for the glory of great charity (gifts of tulsi and gold); the worship of Vishnu's aspect that governs auspicious and inauspicious is the essence of this vrata.
